What this is
The Solia Wall Plaque is a small piece of marine-grade stainless steel with a single QR code laser-engraved into its surface. When a phone camera is held over the QR code, it opens a digital tribute wall hosted at soliawall.com. The wall holds the photos, voicemails, video clips, written and recorded tributes, and life-timeline that the family has uploaded.
The plaque is designed to be attached to a gravestone using the included marine-grade adhesive. It can also be placed on a mantle, urn, garden stone, display frame, or any other surface the family chooses. The adhesive is weather-rated and frost-rated; the plaque is covered by a manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Each Solia Wall Plaque is uniquely engraved with its own QR code at the time of manufacture. The QR code is permanently bound to a single tribute wall that the buyer activates after delivery. The wall can be edited, added to, and shared at any time by anyone the buyer chooses to invite.

Installation
- Clean the installation surface with isopropyl alcohol or a similar mild solvent. Allow to dry completely.
- Peel the protective backing from the included 3M VHB adhesive strip.
- Press the adhesive firmly to the back of the plaque.
- Press the plaque firmly against the installation surface for 30 seconds.
- Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before exposing to weather.
The 3M VHB adhesive provides a permanent bond that resists temperature extremes, moisture, and UV exposure. For removal, the bond can be cut with a thin wire or putty knife; surface preparation may require solvent cleaning.
Some cemeteries — particularly VA National Cemeteries, Orthodox Jewish cemeteries, and certain Catholic and historic cemeteries — restrict additions to gravestones. We recommend checking with the cemetery prior to installation. If installation isn't permitted, we will refund your purchase in full.
Materials and care
The plaque is fabricated from 316 marine-grade stainless steel — the same material specification used in marine hardware, surgical instruments, and food-grade equipment. It is naturally resistant to corrosion, salt, and acid rain.
No regular maintenance is required. If the plaque becomes soiled, it can be wiped clean with a soft cloth and mild dish soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or bleach.
The QR code is laser-etched directly into the steel, not printed or applied as a sticker. It will not wear off, fade in sunlight, or rub off with handling.

Your wall lives in your personal Solia Wall account at soliawall.com/account. Sign in any time, any device — edit content, upload more photos, invite family, manage the subscription. You don't need the plaque to access the wall; the plaque is just the doorway for everyone else.
If you cancel: everything you've already added stays viewable. New uploads and new contributor invitations pause. The wall does not disappear.
