About

About Solia

A family-operated United States company making one thing carefully.

The company

One product. Built carefully. Supported for life.

Solia is a brand of Blanc Steeze LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming. We make a single product — a memorial QR plaque — and host the digital tribute walls that the plaque opens. The hosting infrastructure is operated within the United States. Customer service is United States-based.

We are a small company. We do not aspire to be a large one. We aspire to make this one product carefully, ship it on time, support it for the lifetime of the wall it opens, and honor the families who choose to place it on someone they loved.

The name

Solia means sun. Every life leaves light.

Solia comes from sol, the Latin word for sun. The brand name expresses what we believe is true about the people we lose: that every life leaves light. Some of that light continues in the family’s possession — in photographs, in voicemails, in the stories people remember. A wall is a place to keep that light gathered, where it can be returned to.

Why we started

Small disappearances accumulate.

The team that built Solia began this work after each of us, separately, watched a small everyday loss — a voicemail recording overwritten by an operating-system update, a photograph that didn’t survive a phone change, a story that nobody had thought to write down. Those small disappearances accumulate quietly in the years after a death, and the headstone, however durable it may be, cannot hold what was once on a phone.

The idea behind Solia is simple: a small, durable physical object — a stainless steel plaque with a QR code — placed somewhere the family can find it, opening a digital wall that holds all of the artifacts the family already has. Photographs that would otherwise sit in a drawer. Voicemails that would otherwise be lost in a phone upgrade. Stories that would otherwise die when the storyteller does.

What we do not do

The hard line.

The market for memorial technology has, in the last several years, expanded into territory we have chosen not to enter. Specifically, Solia Wall does not, and will not, do any of the following:

×

No AI voice cloning

No AI-generated speech. No “talk with” features. No simulated conversations.

×

No animated photographs

No “live photo” features that move a deceased person’s face. No simulated motion in still images.

×

No likeness replicas

No deepfake video, no AI-generated portraits, no simulated handwriting.

×

No simulated presence

Solia Wall is not a chat experience and is not designed to simulate continued conversation.

The wall hosts only what the family uploads — real photographs, real voicemails the deceased left while living, real videos, and tributes written or recorded by living family and friends. An accessibility feature uses generic text-to-speech to read written tributes aloud in a clearly synthesized neutral voice; that voice is not the deceased’s voice and is never represented as such.

This is a permanent product decision. It will not change.
